Yes, you read it right. Late April, but in good ole Eugene, Oregon it feels like January. Life has felt busy lately, or maybe my brain has just felt to scattered to sit in one place for more than 5 minutes and blog. Soon I hope to bring the Spring cleaning to the website!

Obsession

My newest obsession is tatting. I am struggling with the challenge of learning how to tat with only print words, pictures from the internet, and kicking myself for not having foresight six years ago to tap the endless resource that was my great grandmother's knowledge of all crafts before she passed away. Some interesting places where tatting doesn't live in the shadows:

Let the obsession continue... If only I could find a warm body to instruct me. That is my next endeavor.

what to say

Sometimes I find myself looking at my blog thinking, "I have nothing more to say." I have been working on training the mutt. So far he knows how to sit, how to lay down, and how to not pee and poop in the house. I am amazed! Who gets a pound dog and gets that much?! Its awesome. I think we got him at just the perfect age, where he wasn't old enough yet to get a really bad life experience, and he is new enough to the world to learn all the wonderful treats it holds. We have a Specialist consultation regarding his eye on March 5th, where we will find out how much it will cost to surgically correct his "cherry eye." Life with Tucker, it fills a hole that has been in my heart since my other dogs left town.
